Muppet Treasure Island is a 1996 musical adventure comedy film directed by Brian Henson. It is the fifth feature film to star the Muppets and is based on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic novel Treasure Island. The film follows young Jim Hawkins and his friends Gonzo and Rizzo as they embark on a quest for treasure, aided by the Muppets, including Kermit the Frog as Captain Smollett.
